Flange attenuator, also known as adapter attenuator, has the same shape as ordinary adapter. Its principle is that the adapter is equipped with attenuator sheets so that the connectors can not contact each other completely to achieve the purpose of attenuation. Flange attenuator is suitable for attenuation connection between jumpers in optical fiber links. Flange attenuator is only suitable for PC type connectors with insertion end face, and is suitable for the wavelength range of 1250-1650 nm.
