The mechanical adjustable attenuator (collimator principle) is also a continuous adjustable attenuator. The attenuation value can be achieved in the range of 0.6-60 dB. This attenuator can adjust the attenuation value by manually rotating the adjustment button and using the dislocation principle of precise alignment of the collimator. Its accuracy can reach 0.1dB. It is widely used in optical fiber communication system, active device testing and high precision passive device testing.
